Guidelines and Procedures for WHS Collaboration
Proposals for collaborative investigations are welcome. All projects using Women's Health Study data are done in collaboration with WHS investigators. WHS collaboration guidelines are conducted in accordance with applicable NIH requirements for data sharing and the protection of the privacy and confidentiality of human subjects.
Researchers who meet the following conditions will be considered for access to WHS data:
• Must be affiliated with a recognized academic or research institution
• Must obtain approval from a recognized ethics review board prior to initiation of project
• Must demonstrate adequate funding for the proposed research
The process for establishing collaboration is summarized as follows:
• Contact WHS PIs for preliminary discussion of potential project
• Submit Proposal Request
• Notification of review result
• Submit Data Request, if project is approved
